Be a Pumpkin Season Snack rock star with these adorable “pumpkins”.

When I first made these for my family, I was met with “oohs and aahhhs”, well mostly “those are so cute!” but that works too. Now my crew has requested them for Thanksgiving! These fun little guys are perfect for a snack, a dessert (add simple glaze icing), or a party appetizer.  You would think they would be complicated to put together but they are really very simple!

What you need…

Baking sheet

1 can Pumpkin Puree (you will have some left over)

1 package Pillsbury Crescent Rolls

Pumpkin Pie spice

a few pecan pieces

Preheat oven to 350

Lay out your crescent roll dough as shown below…

Spread a thin layer of puree on one half of squares, then cover with remaining squares. (like a sandwich)

Cut evenly into 8 long strips. You will take one strip at a time, twist it a few times and then sort of make a circle of it, sticking the ends underneath.

Repeat for all 8. Then sprinkle pumpkin pie spice on each and insert pecan piece “stem”.

Bake 15-20 minute, depending on your oven. Remove, cool and enjoy!
